About Draco

Draco is the constellation in the far northern sky and the Latin word for dragon. Chinese people have been considered as descendents of dragons.

Established in 2007, Draco Healthcare is committed to helping bring better medicines for better health in China. Draco is headquartered in California, USA with a satellite office in Beijing, China. Draco specializes in China's epidemiology, cancer treatment, prescription drug sales data, hospital systems as well as the drug regulatory in China.

Advisory Board

John Lonergan

John is a Managing General Partner at MachVentures, a fund focused on early-stage medical devices in the Bay Area. John brings more than 20 years of industry experience in the fields of diagnostics, medical technology and software. He co-founded the Bio-Star Private Equity Fund in 2003 with Dr. Louis Cannon, raising $30 million and making nine investments in less than two years.

A 1976 graduate of Harvard Business School and a former McKinsey consultant, Mr. Lonergan has founded two biotech companies based on technologies developed at Los Alamos National Laboratories and the University of California in San Diego. Mr. Lonergan co-founded CardioNow, a leading provider of image management services to hospital-based cardiologists and medical device companies. CardioNow's customers include hospital groups throughout the United States, as well as Johnson & Johnson, Boston Scientific, Guidant, and a series of smaller cardiology device companies. Prior to the co-founding CardioNow in 1999, Mr. Lonergan led European divisions of Dade International, a $1.3 billion diagnostics company, managing Germany, France, and the Benelux. He took responsibility for Boston Scientific's European interventional cardiology division, growing sales to $177 million and regaining Boston's number one position in stents in this hotly competitive marketplace.

Zhi QI

Zhi Qi brings on board 30 years experience in the Science and Technology assessment in China. He was sitting on boards of several Chinese national companies including Fujian AgriBiotech Company, Sichuan Animal Feed Corp. During 1993 and 1997, Zhi Qi was the president of the Chinese Association of Agricultural Technology Management. Prior to that, Zhi Qi held various posts in the central government, including director of Science and Technology at the Ministry of Agriculture, managing role in strategic planning division as well as senior position at the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. He had overseen hundreds of projects involving technology improvements in China and had advised many Chinese companies. During his tenure, he visited the United States, UK, Japan, and many other developed countries to help develop China’s technology and science programs.

Zhi Qi graduated from Northeast College with an engineering degree.

Bruce Scott

Bruce is the CEO of Intellectual Licensing & Capital Group, Inc (ICG), an international licensing and advisory company located in Menlo Park, California.

Bruce has engineered over 70 deals involving licensing, collaborations, M&A, and corporate partnerships. Bruce has experience in general management, finance, fund raising, licensing, business development, corporate strategy, M&A, and launching new businesses. Industries he has worked in include: life sciences, advanced materials, chemistry, and nanotechnology and information technology. Companies he has been associated with include: Nuada Pharmaceuticals, Geron Corporation, NovoDynamics, Catalytica Advanced Technologies and Energy Systems, AIM Nutraceuticals, BF Goodrich and NovoTec.

Bruce has an MBA from Purdue University and a B.S. in Public Accounting from Gonzaga University.
